"Hey join us, we've got a great product (s) and everyone is going to buy from you. All you have to do is create a list of all your family and friends - try for at least 100, do a bit of local advertising and you are set."
Well we all know it is not as easy at that!
Yes the product maybe great and may appeal to some people and yes you may end up, if you are lucky, with one or two retail buyers and maybe if you are really lucky you may even get a couple of people to join. But let's face it, it does not happen that often and more often than not the people who join you, will auto ship for a month or so and then fall away. And with it, all the high hopes of earning a reasonable income from an ever growing down line.
That is what happens to at least 95% of people in this type of business.
In the main those people were probably like you and me, before I made one or two very small changes to my mindset. Excited about the product, thinking this is the big one but coming up against a brick wall time and time again - chasing people who are not "like minded"; wasting money on advertising which in all likelihood is not "properly" targeted and eventually giving up.
What is the point in trying to sell it to someone who is not really interested, negative about or does not fully understand just how powerful network / multilevel marketing is.
How do you take the step up from the failing majority and become one of the successful minority? What changes do you have to make?
- You need to deal with like minded individuals
- You need to earn the trust of people and build up credibility
- You need to show people that you are knowledgeable and a leader in this business
- You need to share knowledge, show people how to succeed - don't put yourself first!
